As the Chief of Staff to the CFO, you will help define and execute strategic priorities, work across the entire team to drive results, enabling Shield AI to continue to grow rapidly and scale. Expect this role to lead to significant future leadership opportunities in the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Drive alignment within the Finance team around setting strategy, forming a plan with clear goals and asks of the team, and monitoring progress along the way
  • Build a thorough understanding of product, tech, and strategic needs of the company; through that lens, drive the priorities of the Finance team through weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings, shaping off-sites and identifying opportunities to increase leadership team effectiveness and connection to the greater organization
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop and implement a refreshed annual operational planning process with deep connection to the business’ plans.
  • Lead and manage effective team meetings (defining agendas, facilitating meetings as needed, capturing minutes and action items, follow-ups, etc.) including leading preparation for the Board of Directors meetings
  • Communicate priorities, activities, and results to the larger organization including use of dashboards, while ensuring deliverables are met; streamline communication channels for such updates; maintain strong pulse and feedback loop on organizational needs
  • Dig into specific business issues as they arise and, in partnership with the Executive team, identify solutions
  • In collaboration with our team of EAs, oversee the executive team's calendar of events: drive planning for key meetings, interact with leaders at all levels of the company as well as external customers
  • Coordinate and create documents in support of important meetings and conference calls, including presentations, reports, and proposals
  • Measure and track KPIs across the organization and, in particular, for functional components

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of business or military experience, in an operations context
  • Ability to quickly synthesize complex ideas into simple representations
  • Exceptional writing and presentation abilities
  • Effective lateral and upward management ability
  • Ability to learn rapidly and understand the roles of and intersections between business unit functions
  • Ability to solve problems in a structured way and facilitate discussions
