WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and configuration of Ground Control Stations (GCS), Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Ground Data Terminals (GDT), and associated systems.
- Interpret technical documentation and OEM guidance, including engineering drawings and internal work instructions, to complete system repairs and configurations.
- Conduct re-imaging, firmware updates, and preventative maintenance of ground support systems (GCSs, radios, GDTs, etc.), maintain configuration records and inventory documentation for all serviced equipment.
- Support inventory management by assisting with equipment check-in/check-out, ensuring all hardware is properly tracked, updated, repaired, and configured to meet operator specifications for mission readiness.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting and creative problem-solving to optimize system performance; collaborate with OEMs to identify original components and implement cost-effective sourcing solutions that reduce OEM dependency.
- Coordinate with management on Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) for ground support systems beyond repair capability; maintain accurate tracking and documentation of all RMA activity with OEMs.
- Ensure internal fleet aircraft are properly identified and tracked by applying identification markings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ground support systems and related electronic equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using analytical skills, solutions-oriented thinking, and creative problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to follow standardized procedures while maintaining high equipment readiness standards.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical documentation, and OEM instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience working with Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Ground Control Stations (GCS), Ground Data Terminals (GDT), and associated systems.
- Hands-on experience with system configuration, re-imaging, firmware updates, and preventative maintenance.
- Experience coordinating Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) with OEMs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- IPC 620 Certification
- Military, aerospace, or defense industry experience is a plus.
