The Operations Team will be responsible for building tools to monitor the health of the system and keep it in a consistent state while ensuring its high-availability and durability. Provide engineers on pager duty with the tools to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

The team will build tooling, applications and dashboards to provide detailed visibility into system metrics including:
-Platform and pipeline events
-Errors and failures
-Health of all services
-Integration with external systems: webhooks, Salesforce, Stripe.

What you will do

• Build APIs for the Operations Dashboard
• Build background trackers to detect issues in metering, usage, and billing data pipelines
• Build query tools to troubleshoot system issues
• Build monitoring of AWS cloud platform resources: lambdas, API Gateway, S3.
• Build tooling and workflows for loading real time application object state from datastores and databases.
  
• Create scripts for ongoing and recurring issues and make them accessible to run on-demand from the Operations dashboard.
  
• Automation of onboarding workflows for new customers
• Implement data destruction workflows
• Implement data migration and backfill workflows
• Setup alerting mechanisms for production issues
• Integrate with Datadog, Cloudwatch and other monitoring tools
• Build explain tools for outlining the status of a certain entity in the system. Generate an X-Ray vision into the system.
• Validate the metering pipelines and aggregations and raise flags if validation fails.
• Detect event failures in pipelines and automate the response to correct the issue.
  

Requirements

• Programming experience in JAVA, Node.js, or Python.
• API development and consuming APIs
• AWS cloud services, Cloudformation
• Nice to have: full stack development experience
