Boom is developing the Symphony supersonic engine, which powers the Overture supersonic airliner and the Superpower natural gas turbine for AI. Overture will fly at twice the speed of today’s subsonic jets over water and 50% faster over land with Boomless Cruise. This will be one of the most difficult recruiting jobs on the planet. While many want to join Boom, our bar for talent and cultural fit is exceptionally high. You're not filling seats—you’re building the Special Forces of engineering.

Role Overview

  • Own end-to-end hiring for complex, high-impact roles across engineering, manufacturing, and business functions
  • Partner with Sr. recruiters, hiring managers and People Business Partners to define needs, build strategies, and close exceptional candidates
  • Proactively source and engage top-tier, often passive talent through a wide range of modern recruiting tools and creative outreach
  • Deliver crisp, clear, and timely communication to both candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the process
  • Ensure an outstanding candidate experience that reflects Boom’s values, ambition, and pace - Even the people we choose not to hire should have a great experience with Boom
  • ** Note: this role is in-person only with 5 days/week required in our Centennial, Colorado office **

The Ideal Candidate

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience in fast-moving, high-bar environments
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on challenging technical hires in engineering environments.
  • Skilled at building strong partnerships with hiring managers and consistently securing top-tier talent.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, rapid growth, and shifting priorities
  • Exceptional communicator—clear, empathetic, and direct
  • Experience with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (e.g., Rippling, LinkedIn Recruiter)
  • Obsessed with the details and passionate about crafting an extraordinary candidate experience

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience recruiting in aerospace, automotive, robotics, or other emerging "hardtech" technology sectors.
  • Creative sourcing approaches that cut through the noise and get attention
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with executives and senior leaders on high-stakes hiring
  • Built pipelines from scratch and delivered results in competitive, talent-scarce markets
  • Bias for action—you move fast, learn fast, and always find a way forward
  • Positive energy and presence—you make candidates and colleagues feel supported and inspired

Compensation

P2 level - which typically requires 2-5 years of experience. The Base Salary Range for a P2 level position is $74,000 - $94,000 per year.

P3 level - which typically requires 5-8 years of experience. The Base Salary Range for a P3 level position is $95,000 - $120,000 per year.

Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include long term incentives/equity, a flexible PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
