We are looking for a driven Lead X-Ray Technologist to join our growing team! This position is primarily responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries, . We are looking for someone with availability and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and some holidays.
Location: Carbon Health 4564 Route 9, Howell NJ, 07731
Hours of Operation: Sunday - Saturday 8 AM - 8 PM
Schedule: Per Diem
What you will do
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Prepare images for reading by Radiologist.
- Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow.
- Attend staff and departmental meetings.
- Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
- Proposes improvements to processes and workflows.
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
About you
- Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience. May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency, CRT certificate, CPR- BLS
