In this position you will have a vital role in posting insurance EOBs, ERAs, and all daily lockbox deposits. Being analytical is important as daily, weekly and monthly cash reconciliation is needed.
What You'll Do
- Maintain timely posting of payments and cash reconciliation daily
- Audit payment history to review for accuracy
- Ensure daily/weekly and monthly productivity goals are met
- Call insurance companies for Missing Explanation of Benefits
- Track down missing payments from insurance companies to be reprocessed
- Send updated W9’s for payment processing
- Provide exceptional friendliness, empathy and thorough customer service
- Own and drive the research of inaccurate payments
- Proactively work with partner billing teams
- Review work and monitor credit balances
About You
- 2 - 3+ years of medical billing/payment posting experience
- Familiar with Apple products, Google Suite apps and strong working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to remain focused and calm during stressful situations
- Ability to hit productivity and KPI goals
- Team Player
- In depth knowledge of how health insurance works
- Clear understanding of ERAs, EOBs, EFTs and lockbox functions
- Enjoys numbers, data, research and spreadsheets
- Ability to speak clearly and professionally
