THE JOB AT A GLANCE
We’re looking for an internal operations leader who thrives on execution, organization, and getting things done to support and scale urgent care operations.
In this role, you’ll help run the day-to-day of urgent care—from clinic workflows to training rollouts to cross-functional projects. You’ll own the development, execution and follow-through that keep our clinics moving, turn big ideas into usable tools, and make sure our operational plans become real outcomes in the field.
This role is all about making the urgent care business work better—supporting clinic staff, enabling operational clarity, and helping our team stay one step ahead.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support day-to-day urgent care operations through clinic-facing workflows, communications, and operational tools
Lead field execution for initiatives such as audits, trainings, and new service launches
Develop and maintain SOPs, job aids, and field resources that are clear, practical, and easy to implement
Manage the weekly field communications cascade and ensure timely follow-through on key tasks
Identify opportunities to improve urgent care workflows and collaborate with internal and field teams to implement more efficient processes
Partner with cross-functional teams—including Clinical, Product, IT, RCM, and Research—to support and streamline field operations
Establish and maintain operational metrics and reporting to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities
Monitor compliance with operational requirements (e.g., trainings, audits, drills) and proactively surface risks or gaps
Provide broad operational support to the urgent care team—stepping in as needed to keep initiatives on track
Required monthly site visit to a nearby Carbon Health location
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of experience in operations, clinic management, project management, or a related field
Ability to identify operational gaps, develop clear plans, and execute initiatives that drive measurable impact
Strong problem-solving mindset with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated curiosity and resourcefulness in developing solutions and improving workflows
Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving priorities
Demonstrated ability to seamlessly shift between big-picture strategy and granular execution; able to dive into the details to solve complex problems while maintaining a clear view of how those details fit into broader goals
Skilled at building scalable processes and systems that start small and evolve to support growth across teams, functions, or geographies
Comfortable operating in ambiguity, identifying patterns, and creating structure that supports both immediate needs and long-term scale
