How You'll Contribute:
- Evaluate patient cancer risk and recommend screening plans according to evidence-based guidelines
- Provide education to patients on their cancer screening needs and on cancer prevention
- Develop and implement a care plan to help patients get screened for cancers based on evidence-based guidelines.
- Tailor screening plans to patient’s personal and family history and cancer risk, including developing long term screening plans for cancer survivors and patients with genetic mutations that increase their risk of cancer
- Deliver clinical care primarily over video, phone and messaging
- Manage patient follow-up care over time through synchronous and asynchronous interactions
- Prescribe medications, order lab testing and imaging as appropriate
- Follow best practices and company-specific guidelines for cancer prevention, screening and diagnosis
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Board-certified MD or DO in Family or Internal Medicine
- Valid state medical license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of independent clinical practice experience post residency/fellowship training training in an outpatient primary care setting. Experience practicing in cancer high risk clinics or survivorship preferred
- Minimum of 2-year telemedicine experience
- A passion helping people navigate the complexities of the healthcare system to screen and detect cancer early to maximize their health outcome.
- A friendly, empathetic, compassionate manor.
- Strong clinical skills, and high bar for experience and quality of care
- Team-focused, effective collaborator within the care team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
- High ethical standards of behavior
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Comfort with technology, including video chatting, electronic health records, and other telehealth tools.
