Business Development Rep

Posted on Friday, May 17, 2024 is looking for an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to help support pipeline generation and business growth. This position reports directly to the BDR Manager and ultimately the VP of Demand Generation, and will work closely with cross-functional team members across our entire organization.

As a BDR, you will be responsible for outbound prospecting into target accounts, inbound lead qualification, and other related activities. You will utilize phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels to contribute to building a pipeline of qualified opportunities through the creation of leads, pre-qualifying prospects, and initiating prospect meetings.

A successful candidate should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and excel in time management. This person should also be resourceful and able to work independently to connect with prospective customers.

At, you will:

  • Attract new business and generate leads through a high volume of outbound activity
  • Assist with the qualification of inbound lead activity from demo submissions and events
  • Schedule discovery calls that lead to qualified opportunities and pipeline for Account Executives (AE’s)
  • Support the registration goals for digital and in-person events
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of our value proposition and key product differentiators to help inform prospects
  • Collaborate with AE’s on strategic sales initiatives and other related activities
  • Update and maintain Salesforce CRM, recording all required activity and notes properly

We'd love to see:

  • 6+ months of prior BDR experience or a related role
  • Experience in a high tech software/SaaS sales, with a proven record of success, preferably in the data space
  • Candidates who bring diverse experiences to the table, including backgrounds in data science or data engineering, as well as individuals who have excelled in competitive environments, such as athletics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive sales “hunter” with ability to develop and maintain strong relationships throughout the account life cycle
  • An appetite to try new things - You’re curious and excited to dive into and master our sales process, and are always looking to learn. You ask questions and don't shy away from challenges.
  • Willingness to travel (when that's appropriate again)
