What we do

Finix is on a mission to build the most accessible financial services ecosystem in history. We're creating the global operating system for fintech, starting with payments, and empowering every business to own and optimize its payments experience.

Finix has raised over $175M, including a $75M Series C led by Acrew Capital, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Leap Global, American Express Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Homebrew, Inspired Capital, Sequoia Capital, Visa, and others.

We believe every business, regardless of size or industry, should have access to the most advanced, flexible payment technology and should retain more of the economic value it creates. We're removing technical, regulatory, and compliance hurdles with a fully customizable, all-in-one platform that supports payments, payouts, recurring billing, risk management, and compliance in a single system.

Who we are

We're a group of passionate payments people. It grows on you. We're proud of what we've built: a product we believe in and teams that hold themselves to a genuinely high bar. We communicate directly, hold each other accountable, and care deeply about the quality of everything we ship.

About the role

At Finix, talent is a core driver of company performance. Our Recruitment Partners ensure the bar stays high as we continue to shape the organization. We've evolved our approach to hiring. This is high-value recruiting, not high-volume.

As a Sr. Business Recruitment Partner, you'll work directly with leadership to advise on role and organizational design. You'll build and own bespoke, high-touch candidate journeys that consistently deliver ambitious, high-slope candidates who will grow with Finix.

This role reports directly to the VP of People and Talent, with close collaboration across our CEO, VP of Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams.

We require four days per week in our San Francisco office. We're an in-office culture and model what we expect.

What you'll do

  • Own the full recruiting cycle end to end: role development, requirements definition, talent mapping, interview planning, case study creation, feedback, and offer creation, delivery, and negotiation.

  • Partner with leadership to guide organizational design and advise on which roles will best achieve business goals.

  • Provide weekly talent updates and reporting to the CEO, VP of Finance, VP of People, and functional leaders.

  • Participate in bi-annual talent calibration sessions for your area of the business, maintaining a complete feedback loop on quality, performance, and leveling.

  • Partner with the People team to proactively anticipate team changes and upcoming hiring needs.

  • Build and optimize workflows in our ATS; develop pipeline strategy and sourcing playbooks.

  • Flex into other domains or strategic initiatives as needed.

You'll thrive here if you

  • Hold a high talent bar. You know what high slope and high performance look like. You’re not afraid to push back when the bar isn't met.
  • Build white-glove candidate experiences. You design bespoke journeys that make every candidate feel valued, regardless of outcome.
  • Communicate openly and directly. You're a truth-teller who can pivot strategies, deliver hard news, and still move things forward. Details matter, and you tie up loose ends.
  • Thrive in ambiguity. You adapt to shifting business needs without losing sight of quality or timelines.
  • Get things done. Competing priorities don't stop you. You hustle, prioritize, and deliver results.
  • Passionate about your craft. You may often find yourself geeking out on the start up ecosystem to better understand the market.
  • Embrace technology. Actively seek and experiment with tools to eliminate repetitive admin tasks, making room for more high-value work.
  • You are discreet. You can handle confidential information with ease.

This role isn't for you if

  • You prefer high-volume, repetitive hiring cycles.
  • You optimize for funnel conversion metrics over finding the right person/
  • You need a fully built machine and a large team around you. We’re still experimenting, building and optimizing.
  • You require structure and a big team to do your best work. We do things we haven’t done before.
  • You prefer to work quietly at home. We’re in the office, 4 days a week.

130000 - 187000 USD a year

Every role has clearly defined leveling with transparent salary bands, so you'll always know where you stand and why. Equity is part of the package, and we're proud to be owners of Finix. We invest in the whole person. That means free medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents, a 401(k), Equinox membership for our SF team, 8Sleep mattresses, unlimited Neuroreserve gum, and a genuine belief that recovering well is part of performing well.
