The Opportunity
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Legal Operations Manager to join our Legal team. This role will focus on optimizing and scaling an already established legal infrastructure, with an emphasis on data, systems, and capacity planning to ensure the Legal team continues to operate as a strategic partner to the business.
As Legal Operations Manager, you will be responsible for key components of our legal operations function, working closely with Legal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve efficiency, visibility, and predictability across legal workstreams. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys translating data into operational decisions and continuously improving how legal services are delivered.
In this role, you will:
- Architect legal operations processes that support a mature, high-growth legal function
- Manage and optimize core legal technology platforms, including Ironclad (CLM) and Brightflag (legal spend and matter management)
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting on contract cycle time, legal demand, workload, and SLA performance
- Analyze trends in legal demand and performance to inform staffing, budgeting, and process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across intake, triage, legal workflows, and knowledge and matter management
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, Finance, and Procurement to align legal processes with business needs
- Support annual planning, vendor management, and outside counsel optimization efforts
- Assist Legal leadership efforts to drive overall team engagement and plan team on-sites
This role is intentionally scoped as a mid-level Legal Operations Manager position. It may not be the right fit if you are seeking: full ownership of the legal operations strategy, final decision-making authority over legal headcount planning, budgets, or hiring, or a role that operates as the primary advisor to the General Counsel on legal org design.
Qualifications
- Has 3–5 years of experience in legal operations, business operations, or a closely related role
- Has hands-on experience administering and optimizing Ironclad and Brightflag in a production environment
- Brings demonstrated experience with capacity planning, workload analysis, or resource forecasting for legal teams
- Is highly analytical and comfortable working with data, metrics, and operational dashboards
- Has experience improving and scaling legal processes within an established legal infrastructure
- Communicates clearly and effectively with legal and non-legal stakeholders
- Is comfortable operating independently and owning projects end-to-end
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment
- Brings a systems-thinking mindset and a bias toward operational rigor and continuous improvement
- Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
