About the Role
Hummingbird is looking to hire a Finance Director to join our Finance team! You’ll work closely with our VP of Finance to help lead the Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting functions and work closely with the executive team on high priority projects. This role will help shape the financial success of a high growth business and will influence company wide strategic decisions.
What you’re looking to do:
- Financial and revenue modeling and reporting. You dig deep into the numbers to provide financial forecasting and data analysis, and revenue models with pipeline assessment using CRM data (e.g. Salesforce). This information is shared with the executive team to drive key business decisions. You’ll also build and maintain detailed three-statement financial models including dynamic, integrated long range forecasts for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Own and enhance the monthly accounting close and financial reporting process. You’re looking for ways to strengthen our internal financial compliance standards for external audits.
- Sales partnerships - you’ll work closely with Sales leadership to identify key KPIs to help us understand pipeline health, and monitor performance against revenue scenarios.
- Contribute to investor relations and venture capital fundraising strategy, messaging, and relationship building.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior finance role. An MBA and/or CPA designations could be good indicators that you have the right experience and exposure, but are certainly not required.
- Proven ability to lead and manage financial projects, including audits, GAAP reporting, accounting compliance, overhauling existing financial tools and implementing new systems, cost optimization, and more!
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, for both technical and non technical audiences.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive consensus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with changing responsibilities and tight deadlines.
