Why this Role is Different

Most "Operations" roles at this level are really just glorified data entry jobs: endlessly clicking through spreadsheets to fix manual errors.

This isn't that.

At Nelo, the volume ($300M+ GMV) is too high for manual fixes. You aren't here to push paper; you're here to build the automated engine that tracks every peso entering and leaving the system. You will have the autonomy to hunt down discrepancies and the technology (Python/SQL) to fix the root cause, not just the symptom. If you hate bureaucracy and love solving expensive puzzles, this is your home.

What You'll Do

We don't care about hours logged; we care about the financial engine running smoothly. In your first year, you will:

• Automate the Source of Truth: Move us away from manual checks. You will write the SQL queries and Python scripts that reconcile card, bill pay, and loan transactions with 99.9% accuracy.

• Own the Vendor P&L: You won’t just email vendors; you will manage the commercial relationship. You’ll be tasked with negotiating fees and optimizing routing to directly improve our unit economics.

• Build "The Dashboard": Create the visualization layer (using Looker, Metabase, or similar) that leadership relies on to see the health of our cash flow in real-time.

• Kill the Noise: Drastically reduce the time spent on disputes and chargebacks by identifying patterns and engineering automated solutions to prevent them.

Who You Are

• You speak two languages: You are fluent in Spanish (for the market) and fluent in Data (SQL/Python). You can pull your own data without waiting for a Data Engineer to do it for you.

• You’re allergic to "Good Enough": When the numbers don't add up, you don't sleep until you find the variance. You have an obsessive attention to detail.

• You want the ball: You are independent. You don't need a manager to tell you what to do every morning; you figure out what's broken and you fix it.

• You have the scars: You have 2-5 years of experience in high-velocity environments (Fintech, Consulting, or Tech Ops) where accuracy was mission-critical.
