As Pricing Associate, you will focus on the fast-paced brokerage aspect at one of the most innovative cross-border freight brokers offering carriers and shippers a differentiated value proposition through technology and attractive payment terms. If you have Carrier Rep or Pricing experience at another cross-border freight broker or 3PL focused on US/Mexico trucking, this role might be perfect for you.

What you'll do in a typical week:

• Partner with Sales and Carrier teams to identify and negotiate the most competitive shipping rates, ensuring alignment with customer needs, profitability requirements, and market trends. Associates should pursue becoming a regional “subject matter expert” daily in the US and Mexico.
• Streamline and enhance current pricing processes by introducing efficiency-driven strategies and automation, contributing to a more scalable and data-driven pricing function.
• Identify trends and develop dynamic dashboards to visualize key insights, enabling clear and effective communication of data-driven findings to relevant stakeholders (ex. Datastudio).
• Collaborate across Pricing, Sales, Carrier, and Operations in a constant pursuit of achieving company goals.

Who are you:

• You speak both English & Spanish fluently. For this particular role at Nuvocargo, seamlessly switching between English & Spanish is a must. A typical day could involve solving exceptions with a carrier in Mexico in Spanish to help put together an RFQ for a Fortune 100 client in the USA in English.
• You have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and you’ve worked with SQL/Python; familiarity with alternate data analysis and visualization platforms is a plus.
• You move with speed and a sense of urgency. You move incredibly fast, overcoming obstacles with speed. You are nimble and help solve problems while replicating our commercial's sense of urgency every day with their customers.
• You have a low ego. Collaboration is your best method. You don’t care or remember who came up with the best idea. Sales reps, carrier reps, operations reps, shippers, and carriers all love working with you.
• You manage stress well. Logistics can be quite stressful; the freight never stops moving, exceptions happen all the time, and sometimes shippers and carriers make our lives hard. You are the person everyone wants on their team during stressful times because you keep your calm and are always looking for solutions instead of complaining.
• You have strong attention to detail. Particularly to prevent typographical or calculation errors, particularly in tasks such as system rate entries and RFP submissions.

This will NOT be a good fit for you if:

• You are not good under pressure and working on time-sensitive tasks. Numerous pricing requests and bids are constantly coming in and need to be responded to not only urgently but accurately.
• You can't think long-term. Building relationships with carriers is a long-term effort. While it's tempting to focus on that next load and get it done quickly, Nuvocargo's carrier team prides itself on thinking about the carrier's needs and building long-term relationships with the best carriers in the market.
