The Opportunity
We’re looking for an exceptional Sales and Applications Engineer to join our growing team and help drive the future of industrial automation! If you have a background in engineering or technical sales, particularly in manufacturing, automation, or quality control systems, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead to customers, translating complex engineering solutions into clear, actionable information.
- Collaborate with customers on the integration of vision systems, AI, and quality control solutions into production lines.
- Provide both pre- and post-sales support, ensuring successful customer experiences and long-term partnerships.
- Drive business growth by selling high-volume solutions (think 20+ cameras instead of just 1-2!).
- Travel 60-80% of the time to meet clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and successful project implementation.
Who You Are
- Background in Engineering or Technical Sales with a focus in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation (preferred).
- 3-7 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, or Technical Sales role within OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with vision systems, AI, and quality control solutions.
- Highly adaptable, with a technical-first, sales-second approach.
- Excellent at solving problems, troubleshooting, and presenting complex solutions to customers.
- Comfortable working independently and traveling to customer sites across Detroit, MI; Columbus or Cincinnati, OH; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Indianapolis, IN. Must live within ~1hr of these metros.

Location + Travel
- Must be open to relocating to one of our key territories (Detroit, MI; Columbus, OH; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Indianapolis, IN; Cincinnati, OH) or already residing there. Willing to consider those that live within ~1hr of these metros.
- Frequent travel by car to meet clients within your territory.
