At Quanta, we’re tackling one of the most common frustrations business leaders face: getting answers about their finances is tediously slow, and data is always stale.
Today’s status quo is a cycle of painful finance data lag caused by manual and infrequent processes. We’re solving this by automating accounting from the ground up, and can already do in seconds what takes incumbents weeks to deliver. Our platform replaces outsourced manual work with software, and replaces their static, manually entered numbers with a live, contextual view of the business. Our goal is to achieve something currently impossible: enabling every business decision to be made with instant, complete, and realtime clarity.

About us

We are a tight-knit team of 13, working in-person in downtown San Francisco.
Our team has spent our careers at the intersection of finance and technology. Between all of us, we’ve built accounting systems at Affirm, ledgers at Stripe, built previous companies from the ground up, built finance teams from one to dozens, and passed a CPA exam, and passed CPA exams in multiple states and countries.

About the role

We are looking for a frontend engineer to take ownership of our entire frontend. Our current team is more experienced on the backend, so you would round us out and set the patterns that we would follow. As an early engineer, you would not only build our product but also shape our culture, team, and strategy. We’re looking for someone who will contribute creatively to our product roadmap, help build a cohesive team, and architect our frontend.
The qualifications we’re looking for:
A frontend-focused engineer with extensive React and Typescript experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience at web-scale companies
An eye for design: enjoyment in building to design spec and working closely with design
Deep knowledge and experience with design systems, tokens, and building components
Drive to deeply understand users to build what’s best for them
Enjoyment of doing product work and defining your own requirements
Ownership mentality across the whole business; don’t need permission to leave things better than you found them
Ability to focus on what matters most in order to ship fast
Excited about working in-person with a collaborative team in our San Francisco office
Excited about the level of intensity and hard work required by an early-stage company

Our Benefits

Above-average early stage equity
Competitive early stage stage salary (160-235K)
All the office tools and equipment you need to be productive
Health/dental/vision insurance
401K
Commuter benefits
Take-what-you-need paid vacation
Expensed lunches and dinners in the office

Join us

One of the best parts of joining a company this early is that you become a part of defining it. If you’re excited about shaping the future of accounting and finance, send your resume to careers@usequanta.com.
