What You'll Do:
- Conduct technical accounting research and implement complex accounting issues
- Lead M&A accounting activities under ASC 805 and global policy alignment
- Prepare technical schedules and memos for consolidations, revenue recognition, M&A, debt, leases, equity and stock-based compensation[DT(1]
- Work closely with the legal team to assist in drafting contracts that help meet the company's strategic goals within the framework of accounting guidance
- Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
- Develop and maintain global accounting policies and memos
- Provide US GAAP compliance support to the Finance team, while educating business partners and team members on developments in accounting, financial reporting, and best industry practices
- Liaise with external auditors, including performing walkthroughs, responding to audit requests, etc.
- Provide technical support to members of Finance team on accounting treatment issues in compliance with US GAAP
- Contribute to SOX compliance efforts for internal financial reporting controls
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of public accounting; CPA required
- Strong technical expertise in accordance with US GAAP
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Costpoint is a plus
- Experience with M&A, debt, equity, software revenue, stock-based compensation is a plus
- Aerospace and defense or software sales experience is a plus
