What you'll do:
- Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy to enhance data quality, governance, and accessibility across Finance.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and advanced Excel techniques to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets.
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Fabric data warehouse / lakehouse to consolidate and house key financial & operational data from disparate data sources across the organization to build a single source of truth.
- Automate data workflows and optimize extract, transform, and load processes to improve reporting efficiency and data integrity.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide real-time financial insights for key stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Accounting, and Program Finance to integrate financial data with broader business intelligence frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with company-wide data architecture and compliance with data governance standards in collaboration with IT and Engineering.
Required qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, financial analytics, or data strategy roles
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel (including Power Query and Power Pivot) for data visualization and analysis.
- ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data integration skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong knowledge of database systems and SQL
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a software, defense technology or aerospace company.
- Deep knowledge of ERP / MRP systems like SAP or Deltek Costpoint and integration with BI tools.
- Experience working with Python and/or Microsoft Fabric for data management, analytics, and automation.
- Exposure to FP&A processes and strategic financial planning in high-growth or startup environments.
