What you'll do:
- Develop cost and price proposals of varying sizes and complexities for RFP solicitations, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and FAR/DFAR regulations.
- Conduct margin analysis to align pricing strategies with organizational targets.
- Gain expertise in Shield AI product and project pricing strategies, collaborating closely with Proposal Managers to ensure accurate cost estimates and timely proposal submissions.
- Provide insightful cost and pricing analysis to direct management, ensuring senior leadership is aware of risks and opportunities identified during the pricing process.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key departments, including Contracts, Business Development, Engineering, Production & Supply Chain, Accounting, and FP&A.
- Support various programmatic ad hoc requests as needed, adapting to evolving business demands.
Required qualifications:
- Experience in government contracting, including expertise in various contract types such as Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, and Time & Materials (T&M).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR/DFAR, and CAS regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial practices.
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years specializing in government contracting pricing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a business-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex financial insights effectively.
- A track record of dedication, trustworthiness, and high standards, consistently demonstrating professionalism, collaboration, and kindness in team environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Knowledge of indirect rate structures, including overhead, G&A, and fringe benefits calculations.
- Proficiency in project planning tools, such as Microsoft Excel, to support proposal development and cost estimation
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Contracts, Business Development, Product Management, Program Management, and Supply Chain
- Clearance is preferred but not required.
