What You'll Do:
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to determine machining strategy.
- Write and edit G-code programs at the machine or offline using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Set up CNC machines (mills and/or lathes), including tooling, fixturing, and work offsets.
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology tools.
- Optimize speeds, feeds, and tool paths to improve part quality and cycle time.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, perform minor maintenance, and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of setups, tooling lists, and process documentation (Set-up Sheets, NC Program Libraries).
- Collaborate with engineers, quality, and other machinists to resolve manufacturing problems.
- Maintain clean and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or CNC certificate preferred.

- Proficient with CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar).
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols.
- Familiar with machining aluminum, steel, and other metals.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Exposure to 3+2 or 5-axis machining.
- Familiarity with SPC, lean manufacturing, or ISO 9001 processes.
- Knowledge of tool selection and cutting parameter optimization.
