What you'll do:
- Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs for India, ensuring full compliance with local labor laws and global PX alignment.
- Oversee end-to-end local talent acquisition, including leading recruitment efforts and designing robust onboarding.
- Manage the administration of competitive and compliant compensation and benefits programs for India, including local market benchmarking.
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment, manage all employee relations, and drive engagement initiatives, regularly reinforcing Shield AI's mission and values.
- Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development programs for India-based teammates.
- Manage HR operations, including HRIS, record-keeping, data analytics, and vendor relationships for India operations, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to India leadership, providing expert guidance, empowering the team, and building strong relationships across the organization.
Required qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related
- HR experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or Country HR Lead role in India, preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth technology or aerospace/defense company.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope.
- Ability to act as an advisor, develop and administer schedules/performance requirements, and potentially manage budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to "manage up" effectively, foster collaborative problem-solving, and ensure team awareness of industry developments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working for a US-headquartered multinational company.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across cultures.
- Flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.
- Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
- Technological proficiency with HRIS and HR analytics tools.
