What you'll do:
- Forecast orders, revenue, and cash flow with accuracy and insight.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, clearly articulating financial performance and strategic implications.
- Support the preparation and review of executive review presentations and ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Monitor and track budget performance at the Business Unit level, highlighting key variances and actionable insights.
- Monitor and track business metrics related to financial performance, business operations, and other software-specific metrics
- Conduct reviews and approvals for business requisitions as they relate to annual budgets.
- Engage proactively with business stakeholders to deliver insightful analysis and reporting.
- Leverage FP&A software (or similar platforms) for efficient financial forecasting and analysis.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP&A
- Proven expertise in P&L management, with both top-down and bottom-up forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, with practical experience applying accounting principles in a software/SaaS environment
- Extensive experience in software/SaaS financial analysis, business metrics, and pricing strategy.
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI and comfort with data visualization tools
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders and executive leadership
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power Query, DAX, or other data transformation and modeling tools
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint) and planning tools (e.g., Vena)
- Track record of being a high performer with a bias for action, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail
- Passion for using data to tell a story and drive strategic decisions
- Familiarity with cost accounting concepts and government contract structures (e.g., T&M, CPFF, FFP)
- Customer service (or related) experience
