Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontracts Management / Supply Chain professional to help manage key suppliers, execute complex buying arrangements, and negotiate better terms and pricing. This person ideally brings a mix of experience in aerospace as well as entrepreneurial drive and rigor to excel in this fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Plan, coordinate, execute and manage vendor interactions (including submitted purchase orders and aligning strategic objectives)
- Support procurements of a wide variety of requirements, ranging from raw material, services, fixed assets, and tooling. Opportunities to support new product introduction, production, repairs and sustainment
- Negotiate better pricing and terms across high-dollar and volume spend areas
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential new supplier to improve quality, throughput, or pricing
- Drive strategic initiatives for supply chain as a whole (e.g., compliance)
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management of 8+ years (ideally in the aerospace or automotive fields)
- Analytical and problem-solving expertise
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems (Deltek/Costpoint a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FAR and DFARs
- Experience with sourcing electronics and mechanical assemblies for aerospace, automotive, or similar industry
