Job Description:
Own the sustainment strategy and outcome for all V-BAT customers — U.S. and international. You’ll be accountable for designing and delivering sustainment solutions that maximize fleet readiness, reduce lifecycle costs, generate healthy recurring revenue, and create scalable, repeatable offerings that support Shield AI’s growth worldwide.

What you'll do:

  • Global Product Ownership: Define and manage the sustainment product roadmap for V-BAT across both domestic and international fleets, covering spares, repairs, training, technical data, and digital sustainment tools.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the voice of both U.S. and foreign operators, capturing sustainment requirements and translating them into offerings that work across varied mission sets and geographies.
  • Financial Stewardship: Build and manage pricing models, cost-to-serve frameworks, and business cases that ensure profitability while remaining competitive across U.S. DoD and FMS/Direct Commercial Sales.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Field Operations to deliver globally consistent, high-quality sustainment capabilities.
  • Lifecycle Management: Monitor fleet performance (MTBF, readiness, cost per flight hour) across customer sites to inform product improvements, contract terms, and international support models.
  • Growth Enablement: Design sustainment packages that support early BD campaigns and long-term recurring revenue opportunities in both domestic and export markets.
  • Compliance: Ensure sustainment offerings meet ITAR, NDAA, export control, and international military standards.

Required qualifications:

  • 5–10 years in relevant Product Management, Program Management, or Sustainment roles (defense/aerospace preferred).
  • Direct experience with military aircraft sustainment, logistics, or lifecycle support — ideally in both domestic and international contexts.
  • Strong financial skills (pricing, margin management, recurring revenue models).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including with foreign partners and customers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.
