What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain customer-facing training documentation for Hivemind software releases, APIs, autonomy workflows, and mission configurations
- Design and deliver training materials (e-learning modules, video tutorials, reference guides, release briefings) to support engineers, and customer success teams
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate complex autonomy features into clear and actionable learning content
- Build scalable enablement programs for customers and Shield AI employees
- Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and content libraries across the organization
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Customer Engagement to ensure release documentation aligns with customer communications and field readiness.
- Manage content repositories and version control
- Continuously improve content based on feedback, usage metrics, and evolving product capabilities.
- Participate in release readiness reviews (RRRs) to gather technical details and ensure external-facing material (XROs) aligns with Shield AI’s standards for clarity and impact.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience of related experience in a software or technology environment (AI, defense, robotics, or aerospace preferred)
- Demonstrated experience developing training or enablement materials for complex technical systems
- Ability to interpret and simplify software architecture, API documentation, and AI workflows for diverse audiences
- Expertise in technical writing tools and content management systems (Adobe Premiere Pro, MadCap Flare[SA1] )
- Strong written communication skills with a proven ability to tell stories through technical content
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and customer success
- Excellent organization and attention to detail in version control and release management
- Proficiency in using GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, ElevenLabs etc.
Preferred qualifications:
- Background in autonomy, robotics, AI systems, or mission autonomy software
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Litmos and the development of SCORM courses
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and documentation best practices within sprint cycles
- Experience creating or supporting External Release Overview (XRO) and Release Readiness Review (RRR) documentation
