What you'll do:
- Facilities Operations & Maintenance:
- --Oversee day-to-day operations of company facilities, including maintenance, repairs, janitorial, security, and landscaping services.
- --Manage preventive maintenance programs and ensure all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) are fully operational.
- --Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities and workplace safety.
- Strategic Planning & Workplace Management:
- --Lead space planning initiatives to optimize workspace utilization and support company growth.
- --Develop and execute long-term facilities strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- --Plan and coordinate office expansions, relocations, and reconfigurations.
- Capital Projects & Construction:
- --Manage renovation, construction, and tenant improvement projects from planning through execution.
- --Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- --Track project budgets, timelines, and vendor performance.
- Vendor & Contract Management:
- --Oversee relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- --Negotiate contracts, monitor service level agreements, and ensure vendor performance meets expectations.
- Compliance, Safety & Sustainability:
- --Maintain regulatory compliance for all facilities operations, including fire, environmental, and occupational safety standards.
- --Implement sustainability initiatives, energy management, and efficiency programs.
- --Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
- Team Leadership:
- --Lead, mentor, and develop facilities staff and cross-functional project teams.
- --Establish priorities, performance goals, and development plans for direct reports.
- --Collaborate with departments such as IT, HR, Security, and Operations on facility-related initiatives.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7–10+ years of facilities management experience, including leadership of multi-site or corporate facilities.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and facilities operations.
- Experience managing capital projects, budgets, and vendor contracts.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and building codes.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site facilities or corporate campuses, including operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead facility operations in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Experience driving strategic workplace planning, space optimization, and hybrid work initiatives.
- Track record of managing construction projects, renovations, and tenant improvements from concept to completion.
- Exposure to technology-driven building systems, energy management programs, and smart building infrastructure.
- Strong experience leading cross-functional teams, including facilities, security, IT, and operations.
- Track record of developing and executing long-term facilities strategies aligned with corporate growth and sustainability goals.
- Experience building high-performing facilities teams and mentoring mid-level managers.
- Strong vendor management skills with a proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage SLAs, and optimize service delivery.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.
