Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Milan, Italy

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer with extensive experience in network infrastructure security and a deep understanding of firewalls, routers, switches, and associated network protocols. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of network security tools and technologies, including Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Imperva, and F5 firewalls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Firewall and Network Security:
• • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Imperva, and F5 firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco switches, routers, and NSX.
  • Implement and maintain a secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and network protocols.
• Virtualization and VMware:
• • Extensive experience with the VMware vSphere 7.x suite, including ESXi, vCenter, and vRO workflows.
  • Proficient in the VMware virtualization stack (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, vSAN, and NSX-T.
• Security Implementation and Management:
• • Implement virus detection systems to ensure robust network security.
  • Resolve existing security issues, including hardware malfunctions.
  • Conduct security analysis and report findings.
  • Maintain compliance with Information System Management Systems (ISMS) policies and regulatory systems.
• Incident Response and Security Protocol Development:
• • Investigate and respond to security breach alerts.
  • Develop and enhance security authentication protocols.
• Specialized Security Tools:
• • Experience with various firewall products across different vendors, including Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Palo Alto.
  • Manage Content Delivery Systems, such as F5 LTM and F5 GTM.
  • Implement content filtering, email gateway security, and data security measures.
  • Configure and manage Multifactor Authentication (MFA) tools like CyberArk.
  • Administer Web Application Firewalls (WAF), including Imperva and F5 ASM.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IPSEC/SSL VPNs using CheckPoint, ASA, and F5.
• Scripting and Troubleshooting:
• • Some experience with shell scripting or development for enhancing security operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark, Fiddler, and HTTPWatch.
    

Qualifications:

• Proven experience and expertise with Palo Alto, Checkpoint Firewall, Imperva, and F5 firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, and NSX.
• Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere 7.x, vSAN, and NSX-T.
• In-depth understanding of network infrastructure security, network protocols, and security best practices.
• Ability to implement and manage complex security systems, investigate security incidents, and develop security protocols.
• Experience with content delivery systems, multifactor authentication, and web application firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with network analysis tools.
