The Opportunity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in API development using Python or similar programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of cloud service providers, particularly AWS, and experience managing cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Apache Spark is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with DICOM images and understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Be Working On

Role Description

As a Software Engineer specializing in HOPPR’s cloud-based data management platform development, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based applications and services. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to develop APIs, manage cloud resources, and ensure our architecture is scalable, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust APIs in Python or similar languages, facilitating effective communication between our applications and cloud services.
  • Develop and manage cloud infrastructure and services, primarily on AWS, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
  • Utilize Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications, improving deployment processes, and managing our service's scalability.
  • Incorporate Apache Spark for large-scale data processing tasks, enhancing our ability to handle and analyze big data efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-based solutions with our existing systems and workflows.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud service provider offerings, cloud security principles, and best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for our cloud-based systems and processes.
