Job Description

The Impact You’ll Have

At Placemakr, our obsession with exceptional service doesn’t stop at our current team members, guests, residents and partners – it encompasses our prospective team members as well. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, your mission will be to support the hiring of talented property team members, including both current and future property leaders and serve as a source of expertise for our hiring managers. You will closely partner with (and report to) the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to execute strategies that identify, attract, and secure the very best talent. As one of Placemakr’s first points of contact for our candidates, you will embody and champion our Community Norms and pride yourself in providing a world-class hiring experience. To be successful in this role, you must be a client-focused, energetic, thoughtful problem-solver, extremely organized and detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As Talent Acquisition Specialist, you can expect to source and vet candidates for positions including leasing, housekeeping, guest experience, engineering, property leadership, customer service, and more.

This position is a remote-first position where candidates can work from anywhere as long as they have a workspace and access to Wi-Fi. This position must be available to work CST or EST hours to most effectively support our business and hiring managers.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the strategic, full-cycle talent acquisition process (from job posting to offer extension and negotiation) for 10-20 requisitions at a time, supporting diverse stakeholders across a variety of business units (operations, guest experience, maintenance/engineering, housekeeping and property operations and leadership), property locations and levels (entry level through management).
  • Develop a transparent, collaborative, and effective partnership with hiring managers across our properties.
  • Build networks to develop and maintain a pool of high-quality, diversified, passive and active candidates for all levels across our property teams.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews and provide a memorable candidate experience during the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups throughout the recruiting process with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans, provide updates and ensure clear, consistent communication.
  • Position yourself as a subject matter expert in the property recruiting space by providing best practices, trainings and consultations for new and existing hiring managers across our properties.
  • Research, uncover, and engage top talent using creative methods and sources (Indeed, LinkedIn, in-person or community-based recruiting, etc.)
  • Execute and provide feedback on programs and strategies that amplify our recruiting efforts including employer branding initiatives, interview strategies and recruiting best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Placemakr’s policies as well as Federal and State laws as it relates to talent acquisition efforts.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

What It Takes

  • 2+ years of high-volume, functional recruiting experience in a full life-cycle, field-based environment (startup experience is a plus!)
  • Demonstrated experience autonomously managing high-volume recruiting needs for non-exempt and leadership-level service-focused roles.
  • Knowledge in sourcing for exceptional passive and active candidates through a variety of resources, including in-person recruiting, professional networks (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) and referrals required.
  • Familiarity with one or more applicant tracking system (we use Lever!).
  • Articulate, engaging and energetic communication that organically creates excitement for all prospective Placemakrs. You consistently and authentically show up as a brand ambassador for your team.
  • Ability to improve, execute on and uphold recruiting processes, standards, and strategies.
  • Administrative expertise that allows you to meet and exceed deadlines by managing and organizing your time, projects, and high-volume of positions effectively.
  • You have exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills, that are centered around empathy and collaboration, which allow you to deeply understand hiring manager and candidate needs.
  • You have unbeatable written and verbal communication skills that are clear, direct, and create trust.
  • You can multi-task effectively with a sense of urgency in an ambiguous, dynamic environment and embrace changes as they arise.
  • You have a propensity for taking initiative and ownership while operating with a high level of independence, rigor, and creativity.
  • You are comfortable with and excel at utilizing your talent acquisition expertise and communication skills to inspire and influence the organization to action.
  • You consistently maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • You embody our Community Norms. You Own It. You Make It Better. You Treat People Right.
