The Director, Growth Marketing Digital Media is a key leadership role within the Marketing team. We’re looking for an experienced performance marketing leader who knows how to use digital media acquisition channels to drive sustainable business growth.
You will lead the strategy and execution of all Digital/Web performance focused paid marketing channels at Chime (Search, Social, Display) and oversee the creative testing strategy and operation that drives performance across all performance marketing channels. You will do this with a substantial budget, high-visibility cross-functional partnerships, and aggressive growth targets. You should be equally comfortable analyzing performance data and setting high-level strategy across paid marketing levers with deep experience on digital/web performance user acquisition.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $168,570 and up to $238,900. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to

Develop, own, and evolve the performance media strategy and execution for all Digital/Web paid marketing channels at Chime, including Search, Social, Display with a 7-8 figure monthly budget and aggressive growth targets.

Organize, coach, uplevel, and retain a team of channel experts across digital paid media channels to achieve aggressive growth at scale

Identify growth opportunities and drive channel optimization, building a culture of innovation and hypothesis-driven experimentation

Develop cross-channel strategies partnering with internal teams and external agencies to support integrated campaigns, new product launches, growth initiatives

Partner with cross-functional teams enhance and continue building best-in-class marketing data and technology capabilities

Work closely with Analytics and Finance to optimize attribution methodologies, model and forecast ROI, monitor and communicate performance to executive leadership, and drive marketing measurement optimization

Cultivate a culture of testing and experimentation to drive innovation, apply findings, and uncover optimization opportunities that increase acquisition and deliver best-in-class member experiences.

Lead and develop a team of impactful marketers, providing mentorship and nurturing their career growth.
To thrive in this role, you have

Extensive expertise using a portfolio of marketing channels and tactics with an emphasis on Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic Display.

8+ years of proven experience in performance marketing with at least 4 years experience in-house at a high-growth consumer brand managing 7-8+ figure monthly media spend and at least 6 years experience managing a team

Experience testing and scaling new performance marketing channels

Experience implementing and/or overseeing a high production creative testing operation to optimize and scale performance on Meta and other digital channels

Understanding of vendors, tools, systems, and tactics across the evolving marketing landscape: Advertising/Media, Personalization/Targeting, Measurement/Attribution

Data-driven decision making, able to triangulate across different datasets and varying degrees of data completeness to develop models and inform strategies

Strong leadership presence with ability to lead directly and through influence in a complex organization with competing priorities

Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Skilled at running cross-functional relationships and communicating with leadership across multiple organizations

Skilled at surfacing insights quickly and communicating those insights in a way that persuades action
