The impact you’ll have

Own Manifest’s business development and delivery efforts to the United States Government;
Deliver best-in-class software supply chain capabilities to warfighters and federal civilian agencies;
Shape the future of how the United States Government knows what’s in the software and AI that they build and buy.

As our Head of Federal, you will:

Own the sales process from prospecting to close for USG entities. This includes:
Lead Generation: Generating new qualified leads through strategic initiatives (cold outreach, conferences, events)
Partnership: Maximize existing VAR and systems integrator relationships and cultivate new ones
Demo: Effectively showcase the Manifest platform to diverse audiences, from executives to technical users
Pipeline Management: Implement creative solutions to unblock barriers and drive deals forward
Closing: Negotiating and closing deals on healthy terms
Deploy: Oversee the deployment of Manifest to mission-critical teams, and develop strong relationships/partnerships with our customer base
Forecast consistently and accurately
Evangelize Manifest at webinars, events, tradeshows and digital meetings
Travel as needed: depending on your location (we do quarterly team offsites in cool places!)
Capture and synthesize product feedback from our customers to educate our internal teams

Who we’re looking for

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in federal sales roles, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully engaging and converting prospects into customers.
Strong technical aptitude. Proficiency in comprehending and articulating technical concepts is critical.
Proven expertise in navigating and closing complex, multi-stakeholder, six- to seven-figure enterprise deals
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Experience working in early stage technology (B2B SaaS) startups, ideally as a early team member
Preferred skills
Previous experience in a technical (e.g. as a software engineer, sales engineer or solutions engineer) or business development role
Previous experience in cybersecurity, ideally in software supply chain
