- Own technical engagements during the pre-sales process, including discovery, scoping, demonstrations, and hands-on evaluations (e.g. POVs, pilots).
- Serve as the technical voice of the customer to internal teams—helping translate technical requirements into business outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to create clear, compelling collateral, demo environments, and technical messaging.
- Translate evolving policy requirements (e.g. EO 14028, NIST SSDF, CISA SBOM guidance) into value-driven narratives that resonate with cybersecurity, compliance, and acquisition audiences.
- Participate in conferences, webinars, and technical briefings—establishing credibility with stakeholders across DoD, IC, and federal civilian agencies.
What You Bring
- 5+ years experience in a pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role in the public sector or defense technology space.
- Familiarity with software security topics like SBOMs, vulnerability management, CI/CD pipelines, FedRAMP, or DevSecOps.
- Deep understanding of the federal DevSecOps and software landscape—especially how to get creative within it
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to communicate clearly to both engineers and executives.
- Curiosity and comfort navigating unstructured environments—many of our customers are still figuring out their approach to software supply chain security.
- High intellectual horsepower and the discipline to execute—no ego, no excuses
- Excellent executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Washington, DC–based preferred
- Clearance desired but not required
